Utility companies charge a fee to deliver electricity to homes and businesses. This fee is included on your monthly energy bill as a Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) or Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) charge. Utility fees include a monthly base charge and a per-kilowatt-hour (kWh) usage charge. The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) regulates TDU charges to ensure fair pricing. Delivery fees are updated twice annually on the first of March and September.”
