About Gexa Energy

Gexa Energy launched in 2002, the same year energy deregulation took effect in Texas. The Houston-based company hasn’t just stood still since then. It continues to experience growth as a retail electric provider (REP) in Texas.

Gexa is part of NextEra Energy Resources, one of the country’s largest wholesale electric power generators. It offers both residential and commercial electricity plans in Texas. All the company’s residential electricity plans include 100 percent green energy.

Potential customers will find a broad range of options, including free three-day weekend plans, free mornings and nights plans, plans based on usage, and the EveryDay EveryNight plan. The company also allows new customers to switch to another Gexa plan within the first 60 days of beginning service without paying a fee. Gexa Energy has an A+ rating through the Better Business Bureau, where you can peruse reviews for specifics.
