TXU Energy Increases Bill Credits on Smart Edge and Smart Deal Plans

Effective July 1, 2025, TXU Energy increased the monthly bill credits for new customers enrolling in the Smart Edge and Smart Deal plans. The bill credit offers stable savings for customers who meet specific energy usage thresholds.
What’s new?
The changes include a $20 increase from the previous $30 bill credit, providing new customers who meet the usage criteria with an additional $240 worth of annual savings.
- Smart Edge: New customers will receive a $50 bill credit for each billing cycle they use 800 kWh or more.
- Smart Deal: New customers will receive a $50 bill credit for each billing cycle they use 1,200 kWh or more.
Important note for existing customers
TXU’s increased bill credits apply exclusively to new customers enrolling in the Smart Edge and Smart Deal plans on or after July 1, 2025. Existing Smart Deal and Smart Edge customers will continue to receive the previously available $30 bill credits according to their current plan terms.
