If your fixed-rate energy contract is coming to an end, you have a couple of options in Texas’ deregulated energy market. Here’s what you need to know:
- Your energy provider must notify you at least 30 days before your contract is up with a renewal offer.
- You can accept or deny the renewal offer. If you do not respond, you’ll be automatically enrolled in a default variable-rate plan from your current provider.
